Oregon Cascadia Colony
The National Society of New England Women Oregon Cascadia Colony was officially chartered by the National Board of Management in October of 2013. The formal organizing meeting took place in Hillsboro, Oregon, on the 15th of February 2014. Members of the Oregon Cascadia Colony come from all parts of Oregon State, and they represent a high level of genealogy research and documentation expertise preserved through membership in the lineage society community.
In addition to genealogy, historical preservation and patriotic event participation in the local community, Oregon Cascadia Colony works with the national organization to support education and scholarship, as well as service to veterans and active duty military. The society states, "The object of this Society shall be to bring together women of New England Ancestry to engage in patriotic, educational and charitable work and thus perpetuate the lofty ideals and examples of their forefathers."
